As useful in the vegetable garden as it is beautiful in the flower garden, this plant is prized for it's culinary value, as well as texture adding wildflower interest. The smooth flat leaves can be used in place of chives, the young bulbs like green onions, and the mature bulbs the same way as yellow or white onions. The strong garlic scent makes this an interesting plant to work with! Bears clusters of small white flowers in the Spring.
