One of the most beautiful native wildflowers, these satiny, cup-shaped flowers have petals that are reminiscent of crepe paper. Starting to bloom in late Spring, the reason for it's common name of 'farewell-to-spring' becomes obvious. The numerous four-petaled flowers bloom in red, magenta, hot pink and lavender, often sporting a combination of these colors. Vivid, intense, and undeniably beautiful, these wildflowers are one of the showiest in the meadows!
