This graceful, airy wildflower is a common one seen alongside shaded woods and sunny meadows. Numerous pink flowers cover this little plant in late summer and fall when most other plants are finished blooming. Flat seed-pods then replace the flowers, and are a wonderful food source to certain game birds and small rodents. Tiny hooked hairs on the pods have earned this wildflower the nickname "stick-tight" as they tend to cling to fur, feathers, and clothing. A cheery little plant to add to your prairie or garden collection!
