Distinctive and attractive, this native grass earns it's common name from the bottle-brush shape of it's floral spikes. Bristly flower heads rise well above the foliage during the summer, and turn from green to brown in late summer as the seeds ripen. Provides wonderful color and interest well into autumn, as well as attracting various species of birds.
