Prairie Junegrass is so named because of it's dryer prairie habitat and June-blooming seed-heads. This is an excellent choice for those seeking a shorter native grass, as this species only grow 1-1 1/2 feet tall. Growing in clumps, this drought-tolerant wild grass sends up showy seed-heads, and in cooler climates will remain attractive until fall.
