This sand-loving perennial adds lots of character to prairies and pinelands! Late summer will find tall spikes of the unique, pink/purple flowers nodding in the breeze. Pinkscale Blazing Star is a slender, unbranched plant, 1-4 feet tall. Its narrow leaves, much like pine needles, are about 3 inches long, whorled around the stem. A native wildflower that also makes a wonderful cut flower!
