Commonly called bird's foot trefoil, this fascinating little legume is name for the shape of it's seed-pod. Incidentally, it looks like the claw on the foot of a bird! This wildflower is a common roadside plant, and if left to bloom on it's own, will grow into mounded clumps as high as two feet! These tiny, yellow, iris-like blooms make an attractive ground-cover as well as a useful forage plant for livestock!
