Expect gleaming flashes of yellow wherever this wildflower abounds. These bright yellow flower heads may fool the onlooker, thinking the petals are a part of the flower. Look again! Drooping from the center, as a golden fringe, the “petals” serve only to attract pollinators. The round center is covered with minute rings of flowers that eventually climb to the very top. A winner!
