Best known for it's distinct, brilliant red flowers, Fire Pink adds vivid color to rocky wooded slopes, open woods, and pretty anywhere partly shaded and moist. Sometimes confused with Royal Catchfly, this species has the same sticky stems, but it lacks the eight pairs of leaves typically found on the former mentioned species. Expect flocks of hummingbirds when this wildflower is blooming!
