It is best to grow these open pollinated seeds in the south where there is enough heat and growing season to get them to full size. We have grown really nice Black Beauty Eggplant in Wisconsin, but the growing season has to be just right to make it work. If you like colors, you might want to try growing some of the purple varieties, or the Oriental Fingerlings.
