Who does not like peas? They are so easy to grow, and produce loads of sweet, crisp peas in such a short time, that it is easy to see why they are a staple of the garden. They grow best in the cool season, and can even take some cold temps, and still thrive. There are a few types of green pea seeds here to buy. We have garden peas like snap peas or shelling peas like Lincoln Shell Peas which are typically shelled out of their pod, and it is just the green peas inside that are eaten. Then we have the sugar pod peas like Oregon Sugar Pod Peas that have a really sweet pod which is usually eaten with the peas inside.
