Wildflowers - Spiderwort Seeds

Spiderworts can be a little daunting to get started from seeds, but the resulting native plants are very carefree and easy to grow. They just come back year after year, with very few issues or problems. We had a field of these Spiderwort plant seeds for many years, and it was interesting to watch the blue/purple of the morning give way to green in the afternoon, as the blossoms finished their job. Each day a new set of blossoms would be in full glory, replacing the previous day's flowers. Honeybees, and other pollinators are attracted to these nectar-filled blooms each day. The flower heads have a purplish dye that would stain our hands and clothes as we harvested the seeds. The Prairie Spiderwort is shorter and a little more pink in color, but is just as reliable as the Ohio Spiderwort. Browse our selection of Spiderwort seeds for sale below!
